[ Description ]

Inspired by (but not limited to) the Latinx identity and immigrant experience, "Borderlands" draws inspiration from the Latinx culture and the immigrant experience—not only addressing legal or undocumented migration but also within the same country or abroad. The work reflects on the sacrifices made by migrants when they move to new places. It honors the individuals who enable the USA to function—often laborers and working-class people—who are frequently undervalued and overlooked, along with their rich cultural heritage.

Created by Peter Hay & Stephanie García.
